This City lends its character to people that adopt it. Whether you live there for a few years or a lifetime - it does not matter. It reminds you of it - in ways you would have never imagined. I miss the look on people's faces in the subways in NY for example.

What is fascinating about NY is that you don't have to be some one special - you have to BE YOURSELF to fight it. And yes you have to fight this City sometimes. Fight it for time, for space, for peace. It is one of the only cities in the world, where I feel myself in my shoes. It is a tough feeling but it has to be felt. NY has to be one of my love of life. I cannot imagine being as contented as an individual as I was when I was living in NY. It saturates you, then drains you, then makes your struggle - but at the end it gives you a tint of its character. A character that is noticeable, observable by people across the world.

At a winery yesterday, the wine expert who was helping us taste wines, asked me , Are you from NY.. ? She said it was my dressing sense that gave it away. I don't know what it is that NY gave me. But I know it gave me fondest of memories
