Ganesha Blessess

One of the projects that I have been working on, is to understand the relation between humans and the animals that are a part of their lives. Animals play a huge role in the religious as well as daily lives of Indians. We often treat them as gods, and is revered in many communities.

So the Bull becomes a personification of the Lord Shiva and the Elephant of the Lord Ganesha.

“Ganesha Blesses” is a small photo-story set in the Tiruvanmallai temple in South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, where I was visiting with a few friends.

The short stay there had me asking many questions and I was left with more questions than answers.
