“My father-in-law though, wasn’t too sure about this since Kshitiz hadn’t done a south Indian wedding before and frankly, probably didn’t have faith in his abilities. So he went ahead and arranged for another photographer who is quite well known in the social circles of Cochin! The wedding happened (which as you can see from the photos was a ton of fun!). Both the photographers took photos of all that happened. And the results were out shortly after….
Point 1. Kshitiz has given us all the raw images (meaning as it is in his camera’s card). He processed some of the awesome photos into things like a ‘black and white album’ of candid shots. (This is I believe uploaded on his facebook account as well.) On our request, he has also agreed to print a few of best ones for framing. The other photographer on the other hand, has given us just a folder of the reduced size images to go through and tell him which we want so he will print it. We couldn’t print any of the photos the other photographer had given us because it was too small in resolution.

Always smiling
Point 2. Kshitiz took candid photos, photos that are worth framing. Photos that make your heart skip a beat, because they capture beautiful emotions and moments in the wedding. The other photographer, on the other hand took photos that one would expect him to take. They were all from the perspective of documenting the ceremony more than for framing. One of the things we noticed in the two sets of photos was that the other photographer uses flash in most cases because of which all the make up on Archana’s face looks extra white and in many of his photos she looks like she had a ton of make up on her face.
Kshitiz on the other hand, used natural light and other sources (not a flash), which meant that the photos captured faces like they were meant to be captured. It looks so much more brilliant and heart melting that you have to see it to believe it!
Point 3. And finally as a consequence of the above two points, we have uploaded about 500 photos on facebook and I am not kidding when I say this but ALL 500 photos have been taken by Kshitiz. We thank god for bringing Kshitiz into our lives as both a true friend and an amazing photographer!!

- Vignesh Ramesh (wed Archana), wedding on 30th December 2009 at Cochin and Chennai.
Kshitiz is one helluva photographer! What is great about his photographs is that, not only does the capture the important aspects of the subject, but also adds character to the frame in such a way, that the subject seems to have a warm glow in it. If they are photographs of people, they seem happier, if they are photographs of objects, they seem alive and if they are photographs of the nature, they seem to tell a story. Kshitiz, photographed our wedding, and thanks to him we have extremely fond memories of the once in a
life-time affair. He was there where he should be, smiling and making the people in his photographs smile even more than usual, somehow. There are a few absolute gems of photos. The photographs don’t look
like the usual plastered smiles with an artificial lighting as if the people are dolls. The people (which were often me and my family) looked happy… genuinely. All the different aspects of their personalities are brought out by Kshitiz’s photographs. I am really thankful to Kshitiz for making my wedding more memorable and would definitely love to get more gems of photos from him whenever it is possible.
